The Surgery Center of Fairbanks is Pleased to Welcome Dr. Stanley Fuller
Please join us in welcoming Alaska native Dr. Stanley Fuller to our surgical team! Dr. Fuller was raised in Akiachak and Barrow, and graduated from high school right here in Fairbanks. He returns to us after completing his undergraduate education in Utah while performing volunteer research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. During his medical education at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina he received numerous merit-based scholarships and served in several leadership and service capacities.
The internationally renowned Dr. Nick Mamalis selected Dr. Fuller to be an ocular pathology and research fellow at the Moran Eye Center with the University of Utah. As a fellow his team researched cutting edge technologies in intraocular lens implants used in cataract surgery.
Dr. Fuller completed his internship year in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He remained at Geisinger for his ophthalmology residency training, serving as Chief Resident during his final year. In 2015, Dr. Fuller returned to Alaska and joined the staff at the Eye Clinic of Fairbanks.
Now back in Fairbanks, Dr. Fuller is excited to use his skills to provide excellent comprehensive ophthalmology with medical and surgical treatments for a wide variety of patient needs from pediatric eye care and strabismus to macular degeneration, diabetes, cataracts and glaucoma.
